Banda Aceh, Aceh (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto provided meat assistance for the meugang tradition to disaster-affected communities in Aceh ahead of Eid al-Fitr, marking the second such distribution after a previous one delivered prior to the Ramadan month.“This is a real form of the central government’s concern for the people of Aceh, especially as some residents are facing the impacts of hydrometeorological disasters,” Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf said here on Tuesday.Prior to the fasting month, President Prabowo allocated Rp72.7 billion in meat assistance for Aceh, and the same amount has been provided again ahead of Eid.The latest Rp72.2 billion meugang meat fund from the President has been distributed to Lhokseumawe City Rp550 million, Aceh Tamiang District Rp10.5 billion, Pidie Jaya Rp4.9 billion, and East Aceh Rp7.55 billion.It also covers Bireuen District Rp2.25 billion, Langsa City Rp600 million, North Aceh Rp19.55 billion, West Aceh Rp1 billion, Pidie Rp2 billion, Central Aceh Rp6.05 billion, and Bener Meriah Rp4.55 billion.Further allocations include Gayo Lues District Rp4.3 billion, Southeast Aceh Rp2.25 billion, Southwest Aceh Rp1 billion, Subulussalam City Rp1 billion, Aceh Besar Rp500 million, Nagan Raya Rp1.45 billion, South Aceh Rp500 million, and Simeulue District Rp250 million.He added that in the post-disaster situation, the assistance carries meaning beyond merely supporting tradition, as it also contributes to social recovery and brings happiness amid difficult conditions.According to him, the President’s concern for the people of Aceh demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring that disaster handling focuses not only on emergency response and infrastructure, but also on social recovery and public welfare.“On behalf of the Aceh Government and all the people of Aceh, we extend our deepest gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto for this meugang cattle assistance,” he said.
