Palu, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s Palu Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Sulawesi is exploring investment opportunities with Czech businesses through the Czech Embassy in Jakarta, its operator said on Thursday.President Director of PT Bangun Palu Sulawesi Tengah (BPST) Sony Panukma Widianto said the engagement followed an invitation from the Czech Embassy at a Business Day event held in Jakarta.“As the operator of Palu SEZ, we introduced its potential to one of the Czech Republic’s technology companies, ComAp,” Sony said.He said ComAp is known globally for providing control solutions for energy management, power generation, and engine systems.Sony said the meeting followed earlier talks involving Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Indonesia Petr Kopiva, First Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Czech Embassy in Jakarta Pavel Drlik, and Palu City Head Hadianto Rasyid.”Our participation in this Business Day is a strategic step to bring Palu SEZ to the attention of European investors, particularly from the Czech Republic,” he said.He added that the discussions covered potential cooperation in integrating energy control systems in the industrial zone, as well as manufacturing investment opportunities.Palu City Head Hadianto Rasyid welcomed the initiative, reaffirming the city government’s commitment to supporting international partnerships to boost local economic growth and job creation.The cooperation is expected to develop into technology partnerships aimed at strengthening the industrial ecosystem in Palu SEZ and enhancing economic ties between Indonesia and the Czech Republic.Palu SEZ is a key economic hub in Central Sulawesi, focusing on processing industries, logistics, and manufacturing, and is positioned as an investment destination in eastern Indonesia.
