Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has added nine million subsidized three-kilogram LPG cylinders nationwide to secure supplies during the extended Eid al-Adha holiday period as demand rises.Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said on Thursday that the additional LPG supply is being distributed gradually across regions based on consumption patterns and local demand. The increase reflects the company’s effort to maintain supply stability and smooth distribution of subsidized cooking gas for eligible consumers, he said.“We are increasing supply to anticipate higher demand while ensuring subsidized LPG remains available and accessible,” Dumatubun said.Pertamina Patra Niaga has also coordinated with local governments, the Indonesian Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs Association, agents, and retailers to optimize distribution and ensure supplies reach targeted consumers.Dumatubun urged consumers to purchase subsidized LPG only through authorized outlets, where supplies remain available at prices aligned with government-set retail ceilings.“We also encourage people to buy according to their needs and avoid panic buying,” he said.Besides increasing supply, Pertamina Patra Niaga has intensified monitoring of LPG distribution and kept its distribution network on standby throughout the holiday period to maintain energy availability.
