Pertamina Kalimantan wins global CSR awards in Thailand

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) – Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan received international recognition after winning multiple awards at the 18th Annual Global CSR & ESG Summit & Awards 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, for community empowerment and environmental initiatives.The awards recognized social and environmental programs developed across Pertamina’s operational areas in Kalimantan, including organic waste management, food security, women’s empowerment and digital healthcare transformation initiatives.Edi Mangun, area manager for communication, relations and CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan, said the company’s social and environmental responsibility programs were designed to create long-term community impact through collaborative, locally driven approaches.“The programs focus not only on short-term assistance, but also on strengthening community independence, building local capacity and delivering sustainable solutions to social and environmental challenges,” Edi said in Banjarmasin on Thursday.One initiative receiving attention was PASAR TERAS BERSAMA at Integrated Terminal Banjarmasin, which promotes organic waste processing, catfish farming, health education and community-based disaster preparedness.At Integrated Terminal Pontianak, Pertamina introduced a digital healthcare transformation for Posyandu Aster through integrated services centered on women’s empowerment and broader community outreach.At Fuel Terminal Tarakan, the company operates the BLACKGOLD program, which develops Black Soldier Fly maggot cultivation, organic waste management and circular economy-based food security initiatives.At Aviation Fuel Terminal Supadio, Pertamina introduced environmental innovations through waste recycling into higher-value products, women’s empowerment programs and sustainable peatland management.Aviation Fuel Terminal Syamsudin Noor launched the Eco Green School initiative, promoting environmentally friendly energy use and strengthening environmental awareness in schools.Meanwhile, Aviation Fuel Terminal Sepinggan operates the TALISERA program, which develops household organic waste management based on circular economy principles to support food security and improve local incomes.
