INNOPROM 2026 offers a strategic opportunity …Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia's Ministry of Industry is strengthening strategic industrial cooperation with Russia and Eurasian countries through INNOPROM 2026, which Indonesia plays as the Official Partner Country.In a statement confirmed here on Monday, the Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said industrial ties between Indonesia and Russia already sit on a strong foundation, moving towards more concrete and sustainable cooperation.A delegation of 50 Indonesian industrial companies is set to participate in INNOPROM 2026, Eurasia's largest international industrial exhibition, which will be scheduled on July 6-9 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.Kartasasmita said Indonesia's participation reflects a tangible step towards strengthening industrial partnerships with Russia and Eurasian nations. It also opens up opportunities for investment, manufacturing cooperation, and market expansion for Indonesian industrial exports.”INNOPROM 2026 offers a strategic opportunity to bring together industrial players from both countries, boost investment, and open up cooperation opportunities that offer concrete, mutual benefits,” he said.At INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia will present a national pavilion spanning more than 1,500 square meters, making it one of the largest pavilions at the exhibition.Centering on the theme of “Navigating Industrial Futures”, the Indonesian pavilion will showcase five priority sectors, namely agro-industry and food processing, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, specialized manufacturing and consumer goods, advanced manufacturing and engineering, as well as industrial estates and investment.The pavilion will also serve as a hub for various business activities, including business matching sessions, bilateral business forums, and high-level meetings between ministerial-level delegates from both countries.The strengthening of industrial cooperation is backed by a positive trend in economic relations between Indonesia and Russia. In 2025, bilateral trade between the two countries reached US$1.876 billion, while Russian investment in Indonesia stood at US$262.8 million.Furthermore, Indonesia-Russia bilateral relationship have steadily expanded in recent years.Following a December 2025 meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Russian President Vladimir Putin that yielded key economic understandings, the two leaders met again in April 2026 to strengthen cooperation in energy, investment, technology, downstreaming, and industrial development.The strengthened relationship was further cemented by the signing of the Indonesia-Eurasian Economic Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EAEU CEPA), which expands market access for Indonesian products across Eurasia while boosting trade, industrial, and investment cooperation.Meanwhile, the Director General for Resilience, Regional Affairs, and International Industrial Access at the Ministry of Industry, Tri Supondy, said Indonesia is targeting INNOPROM as a gateway to elevate long-term partnerships with Eurasian nations.
