Jakarta (ANTARA) – The number of passengers on the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) from January to October 2025 reached 1.1 million, or around 3,500 people per day.”Based on the figures, the average passenger count exceeds the daily target set by the Jakarta Transportation Office,” said the President Director of PT LRT Jakarta, Roberto Akyuwen, in Jakarta on Tuesday.He said the figure demonstrates the public’s growing trust in the Jakarta LRT as a reliable, safe, and comfortable mode of public transportation.In addition to the increase in passengers, the Jakarta LRT’s customer satisfaction rating this year through September also showed positive results, with an average score of 93.85 percent.He noted that the average on-time performance was 99.88 percent, and the minimum service standard was 98.54 percent as of October 2025.According to Akyuwen, the achievement demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintaining service quality and a pleasant travel experience for passengers.He added that to support comfort and accessibility, the Jakarta LRT provides facilities that are friendly to all groups, including people with disabilities, the elderly, cyclists, women, mothers, and children.The Jakarta LRT is equipped with a quiet room, a lactation room, a SAPA (Support for Assistance) post, a health post, a toilet for disabled people, a lost and found counter, and directional signs.Priority seating and dedicated bicycle areas are available inside the trains, making the Jakarta LRT a modern, safe, and inclusive mode of transportation.He stated that PT LRT Jakarta, through various strategic business initiatives, is also continuously striving to increase non-farebox (non-ticket) revenue through retail partnerships with businesses.”Then there’s commercial and leasing, as well as advertising and publication services aimed at the company’s business sustainability,” he said.
