Jakarta (ANTARA) – Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir stated that the achievement of young Indonesian racer Muhammad Kiandra Ramadhipa in the 2026 Moto3 Junior World Championship has inspired the country’s younger generation.“Ramadhipa has become an inspiration for Indonesia’s youth, demonstrating a resilient spirit and determination to achieve success while bringing honor to the Red and White on the world stage,” Thohir said in a post on his official social media account, as monitored here on Tuesday.Ramadhipa delivered an impressive performance by securing his first podium finish on his debut in the 2026 Moto3 Junior World Championship at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday (May 24).The achievement marked a major milestone for the young Indonesian rider, who is currently building his career at the international level.Competing for the Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior Team, the racer from Sleman finished third in the first race and sixth in the second race.Wearing the number #32, Ramadhipa competed aggressively from the start and briefly led the race on the final lap.He initially crossed the finish line in fifth place, just 0.144 seconds behind the winner. However, after another rider received a penalty, Ramadhipa’s position was upgraded, earning him a podium finish in third place in the opening race.Ramadhipa’s achievement highlighted how hard work, consistency, and determination can produce strong results. His success in competing at the world level also demonstrated the growing potential of young Indonesian talents in international motorcycle racing.The positive result in the opening round lifted Ramadhipa to second place in the current standings with a total of 26 points from two races.
