Minister ensures Prambanan Temple’s readiness ahead of school holidays

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana has ensured that public facilities at Prambanan Temple and Yogyakarta's Tugu Station are fully prepared ahead of the school holidays in June.In a statement confirmed on Sunday, she stressed that safety and comfort are prioritized by all tourism stakeholders to ensure visitors have a pleasant experience.During her inspection in Yogyakarta on Saturday (May 30), Wardhana emphasized that the visit was aimed at ensuring comfort, safety, and smooth services for both tourists and transport users ahead of the school holiday season.On-the-ground observations showed a conducive environment at the Prambanan Temple complex, which was bustling with visitors. This serves as a positive sign for tourist movement leading up to the holidays.The inspection continued at Yogyakarta's Tugu Station, a major railway hub connecting Yogyakarta to various big cities across Java, as well as a key landmark in the province.The check covered various facilities, including the face recognition system at the station entrance, which is implemented to speed up the passenger boarding process.To welcome the school holidays, the Ministry of Tourism is also encouraging people to travel domestically through a campaign called “A New Way to Vacation”.The campaign offers a variety of travel options tailored to modern family needs, such as short escapes, educational trips for children, intercity road trips, village economy exploration, and local cultural and culinary experiences.Furthermore, the ministry has also introduced MaIA, an artificial intelligence-based feature on Indonesia.travel website, which helps travelers find destination inspiration, itinerary recommendations, and various travel ideas that match their interests and needs.Indonesia's top destinations are also being promoted as family holiday options, including Lake Toba, Borobudur Temple, Mandalika, and Labuan Bajo.Through the “A New Way to Vacation” campaign, the Ministry of Tourism encourages people to use their holidays as an opportunity to gain new experiences, strengthen family bonds, and explore Indonesia's culture and nature.
