Jakarta (ANTARA) – Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf urged stronger collaboration to improve data quality for targeted social assistance programs during the 59th anniversary of the Indonesian National Council for Social Welfare (DNIKS).“DNIKS must help provide accurate data. Since 2025, Indonesia has used the National Single Socioeconomic Data, which is updated by the Social Affairs Ministry, regional governments and other ministries,” Yusuf said.The minister outlined the message as one of five priorities for the council, according to a statement released Saturday.Yusuf also called on DNIKS to help social welfare institutions strengthen organizational capacity, improve human resources and secure adequate facilities and infrastructure.“I want DNIKS to help social welfare institutions enhance professionalism and deliver quality services that meet national standards,” he said.He also urged DNIKS to support accreditation for social welfare institutions nationwide to strengthen public trust and reduce irregularities in social service delivery.Yusuf further encouraged the council to expand partnerships with businesses, philanthropic organizations and other stakeholders to sustain social welfare programs.He also called on DNIKS to develop innovative programs that respond to evolving public needs.DNIKS Chairman Effendy Choirie said the council has served as the government's strategic partner for nearly six decades in implementing social welfare programs while coordinating organizations across Indonesia.“The council continues to pursue innovation so it does not become overly dependent on the Social Affairs Ministry,” he said.Choirie said the council's 59th anniversary should strengthen synergy among social welfare institutions to expand services nationwide.
