Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia's investment realization in 2025 reached Rp1,931 trillion (around US$105 billion) and created more than 2.7 million jobs.According to him, this reflects the resilience of Indonesia's economy amid geopolitical conflicts and ongoing trade wars.”Amidst global uncertainty, investment continues to grow. Throughout 2025, investment realization reached Rp1,931 trillion and created more than 2.7 million jobs,” the president said during his Annual Speech at the 2026 Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at the Parliament Complex on Friday.He also stated that Indonesia's investment realization through the first half of 2026 had reached Rp1,010 trillion (around US$54.9 billion), creating more than 1.4 million jobs.Meanwhile, economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 was recorded at 5.61 percent, and in the first half of 2026 it grew by 5.45 percent.”This is the highest first-quarter and first-half growth in the past 13 years,” Prabowo noted.The president expressed optimism that appropriate and rational policies could help drive economic growth to 6 percent by year-end.”With appropriate, rational policies based on common sense, I am confident that our economic growth can reach 6 percent by the end of this year,” he said.On Friday, the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), the House of Representatives (DPR RI), and the Regional Representatives Council (DPD RI) held the Annual Session of the MPR RI and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI.The agenda included President Prabowo Subianto's speech on the performance of state institutions and his State of the Nation Address marking Indonesia's 81st Independence Day.The annual session was a state event held to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence, under the theme “Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia.”
