Indonesia unveils education super-app at EduTech Asia 2025

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education introduced Rumah Pendidikan (House of Education), Indonesia’s new education super-app, for the first time at the EduTech Asia 2025 Forum held at Sands Expo, Marina Bay, Singapore.“Through three of its eight main rooms, the application presents inclusive digital learning innovations. The three spaces are the GTK Room, the Students Room, and the Mitra Room (Partners),” the ministry’s Head of Data Center and Information Technology, Yudhistira Nugraha, said in a statement on Monday. He explained that Rumah Pendidikan serves as an integrated platform connecting the entire Indonesian education ecosystem—teachers, students, and partners—within a single application designed to promote collaboration, equity, and improved learning quality. The platform was developed to consolidate and replace nearly 300 separate educational applications previously used by four million teachers and 40 million students across Indonesia’s 17,000 islands. The GTK Room is designed for teachers to learn, develop, and share inspiration with fellow educators, while the Students Room provides a free and interactive digital learning space supporting curriculum-based, meaningful, and enjoyable learning.Meanwhile, the Mitra Room serves as a collaborative gateway for the public, private, and community sectors to innovate and contribute to advancing Indonesia’s education system, Nugraha added.“Rumah Pendidikan is not merely an application but a collective movement to ensure equal access and quality education nationwide. Through cross-sector collaboration, the Ministry aims to demonstrate the potential of technology to enable limitless learning,” he emphasized.Nugraha noted that introducing Rumah Pendidikan at the forum marked an important step for Indonesia in showcasing its digital education transformation on the international stage. The initiative also strengthens Indonesia’s position as a pioneer in technology-driven educational innovation in Asia, he added. The EduTech Asia 2025 Forum highlighted the convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and pedagogy in transforming classrooms across the region. With the theme “AI in the Learning Revolution,” the event facilitated global exchange of ideas, collaboration, and innovation to address the challenges shaping the future of education.
