Danantara builds integrated human resources management system for SOEs

This will ensure the long-term sustainability of our businesses …Jakarta (ANTARA) – Sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia is currently building an integrated, world-class human resource (HR) management system across the state-owned enterprise (SOE) ecosystem, Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria said.”By 2028 and beyond, I hope all directors, CEOs, and executive leaders will be homegrown talent from within our companies. This will ensure the long-term sustainability of our businesses,” Oskaria said in an official statement received here on Sunday. The initiative begins with the implementation of a Single Grading System and Job Value framework to standardise job evaluation and role classification across all state firms. In addition, Danantara is introducing a Job Requirement and Competency Matrix to serve as the basis for talent placement.Under the system, every position will be filled based on competencies, qualifications, and objective assessment results, leaving no room for subjective preferences or favoritism. To bolster leadership development, Danantara has also established the Danantara Corporate University, which will serve as the training hub for around 300 top SOE talents, equipping them with standardised competencies, leadership abilities, and soft skills.Through the system, Danantara seeks to ensure that all future strategic positions across SOEs are filled by talent nurtured and developed from within the companies.Oskaria, concurrently serving as head of the SOE Management Agency, stressed that talent development is a core responsibility for every CEO, ensuring that ongoing transformations remain sustainable and serve as a foundation for the next generation of leaders.Furthermore, he underscored the ongoing SOE transformation aims not only to boost current corporate performance, but also to lay the foundation for long-term sustainability, in line with directives from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.Oskaria noted that while transformation efforts have driven performance improvement across several SOEs, this success must be supported by sustainable human resource development.Strong leadership, he added, is key to ensuring that companies can continue to grow and remain resilient in facing future challenges.
