Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Jakarta branch of Indonesia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Jakarta) held a business matching event in Tokyo, aiming to increase transactions, investment and partnerships between Indonesian and Japanese companies.Organized with the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center, the event facilitated 70 business meetings across multiple industries, Kadin Jakarta Chairwoman Diana Dewi said.”The target is simple: today's meetings must open the doors to tomorrow's transactions and collaborations,” Dewi said in a statement on Friday. She said Indonesia-Japan business ties should move beyond meetings and information exchanges toward partnerships generating transactions, investment, technology transfers and market expansion. The participating companies represented sectors including machinery, factory solutions, food distribution, information technology, chemicals, textiles, agriculture, household goods and construction.”The diversity of these sectors shows broad opportunities for collaboration, especially in technology adoption, productivity improvement, supply chain development and value-added products,” Dewi said.Japan remains a key partner for Indonesian businesses, not only as an export market but also as a source of technology, industrial expertise, quality standards and global networks, she added.Indonesia, meanwhile, offers a large consumer market, expanding production capacity, abundant resources and investment opportunities across various sectors.Dewi said the event helped Indonesian entrepreneurs better understand the Japanese market, which prioritizes quality, consistency, trust and long-term relationships in business partnerships.Kadin Jakarta is encouraging Indonesian companies, including scalable micro, small and medium enterprises, to strengthen product quality, production capacity, innovation, certification and business standards. The organization said these improvements are essential for companies seeking to compete internationally and expand their presence in overseas markets.Dewi said Indonesian products have significant global potential and businesses must continue improving quality to build international confidence.”Indonesian products have immense potential; our duty is to make the world increasingly confident in their quality,” Dewi said.
