Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Indonesian Ministry of Trade oversaw the inaugural export of yogurt products to Vietnam on Tuesday, with a total value of US$65,000, from PT Cisarua Mountain Dairy Tbk in Bogor District, West Java.The ministry's Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, noted that the milestone signified that the quality of Indonesian dairy products can meet international standards and market demands.”This step further strengthens the position and competitiveness of national yogurt products in the Vietnamese and Asian markets,” Puntodewi said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.Indonesia’s dairy export performance continues to show a positive trend. In 2025, export value in the sector reached US$71.68 million, reflecting growth of 2.35 percent over the 2021–2025 period.Significant growth was recorded between January and February 2026, when dairy exports reached US$14.81 million, marking a 63.43 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. For yogurt specifically, Indonesia’s global export value reached US$1.45 million during the January–February 2026 period, up 50.30 percent year-on-year.Puntodewi emphasized that the Ministry of Trade is providing various facilities to expand market access and boost the competitiveness of Indonesian products.These include trade missions, international exhibitions, business matching programs, and capacity-building initiatives to help exporters meet global quality standards.“We invite all stakeholders to work together to strengthen the position of Indonesian products in the global market,” she said.
