National economic activity is considered stable, but vigilance remains necessary,Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received the Chair of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday to discuss economic resilience amid global dynamics.Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated in Jakarta on Tuesday that the meeting focused on national economic developments, as well as strategic steps to maintain stability and growth momentum.”The meeting discussed domestic economic conditions and global dynamics. National economic activity is considered stable, but vigilance remains necessary,” he said in a statement.Wijaya affirmed that the Indonesian government is preparing anticipatory measures to respond to the impact of global conflicts while sustaining economic growth.According to him, Luhut also presented several policy scenarios designed to protect public purchasing power and ensure that fiscal stability is maintained, including through government digitalization (GovTech).The cabinet secretary added that one of the concrete steps currently being taken is the pilot project for the digitalization of social assistance in Banyuwangi, East Java.The initiative is designed to enhance transparency and ensure that assistance distribution is more targeted before being expanded to other regions.“The digitalization of social assistance is currently being tested in Banyuwangi and will be expanded to 42 districts and cities. This effort is expected to improve transparency and the accuracy of aid distribution,” he remarked.In addition to focusing on domestic stability, the government continues to capitalize on opportunities amid global dynamics, particularly in attracting investment from the Middle East.Wijaya further said that the efforts made include accelerating the establishment of the Indonesia Financial Center, which is expected to boost the country's investment appeal.
