Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto summoned key members of his Red and White Cabinet to the Presidential Palace on Thursday to discuss priority programs, including industrial downstreaming and the Red and White Fishermen Village initiative.Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia said Prabowo instructed his ministers to accelerate downstreaming in the fisheries, agriculture, energy, and mineral sectors.“We discussed 18 downstreaming projects that have completed the pre-feasibility stage, and we also met with Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani regarding these projects,” Lahadalia told reporters after the meeting. “We will ensure everything is ready this year so that on-site work can begin in 2026,” he added.According to Lahadalia, the 18 projects cover a range of industries: eight in minerals and coal, two on energy transition, two to strengthen energy resilience, three in agricultural processing, and three in marine and fisheries processing.Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto confirmed that the meeting focused on advancing downstreaming policies as part of the administration’s economic transformation agenda.Marine and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono said discussions also included the Red and White Fishermen Village program, which aims to boost coastal economies. The ministry targets the development of 65 such villages by the end of 2025, with current progress at 20 percent to 30 percent.Trenggono added that Prabowo ordered his ministry to develop inland fish farming zones in 500 districts across the country to strengthen food security.Other attendees included State Secretariat Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Investment Minister and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.After the two-hour session, Prabowo continued discussions with Roeslani on investment plans related to the downstreaming projects.
