President Prabowo arrives in Seoul for official South Korea visit

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Seoul at 7:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday, beginning his official state visit to South Korea.According to a statement received in Jakarta, Prabowo and his entourage traveled on board the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft, which touched down at Seoul Air Base.Upon his arrival, the President was formally welcomed by a guard of honor and a 21-gun salute.Following the ceremony, the President was greeted by South Korean Minister of Climate, Energy, and Environment Kim Sungwhan, South Korean Ambassador-designate to Indonesia Yoon Soongu, and Chief of State Protocol Kim Tae-jin.Representing the Indonesian side were the Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea, Cecep Herawan, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché in Seoul, Colonel Muhammad Arif.During his visit to Seoul, President Prabowo is scheduled to attend a series of events, including an official welcoming ceremony hosted by the President of the Republic of Korea.The visit is expected to further strengthen the friendship and strategic partnerships between Indonesia and South Korea, as well as open up wider opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.Earlier, President Prabowo and his entourage departed from Haneda Airport in Tokyo, Japan, at 5:15 p.m. local time after he concluded a series of official visits, including a state call with Emperor Naruhito and a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
