Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto attended Indonesia's main 2026 May Day event at the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta on Friday, joining thousands of workers marking International Workers' Day.Prabowo arrived at around 8:30 a.m. and greeted workers before making his way to the main stage, according to the Presidential Secretariat's livestream.On stage, he drew cheers from the crowd as he tossed his hat and danced to the song “Kamu Nggak Sendirian” (You're Not Alone) performed by Indonesian ska band Tipe-X.Several senior officials attended the event, including Manpower Minister Yassierli, House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.Labor leaders were also present, including KSPSI President Andi Gani Nena Wea and Labor Party President Said Iqbal.The event carried the theme “Working Together toward Industrial Advancements and Workers' Welfare.”An estimated 200,000 workers attended the gathering, with thousands of buses and motorcycles mobilized to transport participants.
