Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday received credentials from nine foreign ambassadors at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.Deputy Foreign Minister Arif Havas Oegroseno said the ceremony was followed by informal talks between the president and the newly appointed envoys.”As is customary, each ambassador presented their credentials, followed by an informal meeting,” Oegroseno told reporters after the event.During the meeting, President Prabowo expressed his pleasure at welcoming the ambassadors as they begin their diplomatic assignments in Indonesia.He also reaffirmed Indonesia's free and active, or non-aligned, foreign policy and stressed the importance of international cooperation across various sectors to promote greater equity.Oegroseno said the president emphasized the need for countries to work together and build partnerships in the current global environment.The ambassadors presenting their credentials were:Guatemala's Manuel Estuardo Roldan BarillasQatar's Sultan bin Mubarak Saad Al-DosariKenya's Abdirashid Salat AbdileFiji's Ratu Isoa Delamisi TikocaMorocco's Redouane HoussainiPortugal's Maria Gabriela Vieira Soares de AlbergariaPanama's Bernardo Brea RodriguezNorth Korea's Hong Kwang IlMozambique's Antonio Rodrigues Jose.With Tuesday's ceremony, all 17 newly appointed foreign ambassadors to Indonesia have now formally presented their credentials to President Prabowo.Eight other ambassadors submitted their credentials on Monday.
