Yogyakarta (ANTARA) – Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifatul Choiri Fauzi called on Indonesian women to uphold their role in nurturing generations of excellent, high-quality talents to support national development.”In actuality, women have a crucial and strategic role in giving birth to superior, quality generations,” she remarked in Yogyakarta on Sunday.Fauzi spoke at the 80th anniversary of Muslimat NU, the women's wing of the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama.The minister, who is also serving as chair of Muslimat NU, stressed that the nation pins its hopes on women to raise children with affection and prepare them to grow into pious and loving individuals with strong qualities.She emphasized that members of the group have made significant contributions to resolving various issues at the grassroots level, as reflected in the event's theme of “Preserving Traditions, Strengthening Self-Reliance, and Bringing Serenity to Civilization.””Prepared two years ago, this theme carries notable significance and remains relevant to current conditions,” the minister said.The minister also highlighted the group's contributions to assisting citizens with legal issues through nearly 2,500 paralegals nationwide.She urged all women across Indonesia to align their efforts to promote an inclusive thought of Islam that provides solutions to common issues.”I would like to invite every one of us to start from family by raising our children to be peace-loving people,” Fauzi stated.She encouraged the development of children who respect differences and remain strong both mentally and spiritually.The ministry stands ready to collaborate with Muslimat NU members across Indonesia to bolster affirmative programs for women and children.These efforts are aimed at actualizing the broader Golden Indonesia 2045 vision through community-based empowerment and protection.
