Pertamina adds subsidized LPG, fuel supply in Sulawesi ahead of Eid

Palu, C Sulawesi (ANTARA) – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased the supply of subsidized 3-kilogram LPG cylinders and fuel across Sulawesi to ensure energy needs are met ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday.”The increased supply is part of Pertamina's efforts to anticipate a surge in public demand during Eid al-Adha,” Lilik Hardiyanto, Area Manager of Communication, Relations, & CSR for Sulawesi Region at Pertamina Patra Niaga, said in a statement received here on Monday.For South Sulawesi, the company—which is the subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina—increased the LPG supply by 205,000 cylinders, alongside an extra distribution of around 135,000 cylinders.Meanwhile, he said, Southeast Sulawesi received an additional 51,000 cylinders with an extra distribution of around 22,000 cylinders, while West Sulawesi received 26,000 cylinders and an extra distribution of about 10,000 cylinders.Furthermore, Central Sulawesi was allocated an additional 31,000 cylinders alongside an extra distribution of around 43,000 cylinders; Gorontalo received 26,000 cylinders with an extra distribution of about 14,000 cylinders; and North Sulawesi received 65,000 cylinders with an extra distribution of around 24,000 cylinders.”We have prepared an additional supply of around 406,000 cylinders for May 27, 2026, along with an extra distribution of about 252,000 cylinders, which will be distributed gradually based on the needs of each region,” he remarked.In addition to LPG, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to prioritize boosting fuel supplies at its fuel terminals and gas stations in anticipation of surging demand during the holiday.Fuel distribution is being monitored periodically in coordination with distribution agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and maintain supply.”The additional supply is being rolled out gradually, taking into account consumption trends in each region,” he said.He urged the public to buy fuel and LPG mindfully and to ensure that subsidized products are used by those who are eligible, so that energy distribution remains stable and equitable.
