Danantara Housing to market unsold SOE properties, Roeslani says

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said the state-owned investment agency is preparing a programme called Danantara Housing to help market houses and apartments built by state-owned enterprises (SOEs) that have yet to be absorbed by the market.Roeslani explained that under the scheme, the public would be able to purchase unsold properties with more competitive interest rates and more affordable payment schemes.“There are several apartments or houses that have been built by SOEs but have not yet been sold. We will launch Danantara Housing,” Roeslani said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Monday. The initiative is expected to accelerate the sale of housing stock developed by SOEs while expanding access to home ownership, he said.“They can be purchased by the public with more attractive interest rates and better payment terms,” Roeslani said.Roeslani did not provide details on when the Danantara Housing programme would be launched or the amount of financing that would be allocated. However, he stressed that the scheme is being prepared to benefit the public while optimising SOE property assets that have remained unsold.
