Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia's fashion and accessory products recorded potential transactions of US$1 million at the 2026 Kobe-Japan Pop-Up Store, the Trade Ministry said. The ministry's Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, said the achievement reflects the growing competitiveness of Indonesian creative products in the Japanese market, known for its strict standards.”The transaction results also indicate that Indonesian products are increasingly accepted and competitive in the global market, particularly in segments that demand high quality and design excellence,” she said in a statement on Sunday. The figure was reflected in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between PT Dan Liris of Indonesia and Bee-First Co., Ltd. of Japan. The signing was witnessed virtually by Puntodewi and Indonesian Consul General in Osaka John Tjahjanto, and in person by Head of the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Osaka Didit Akhdiat Suryo.Puntodewi said Indonesia's participation in the event was a strategic step to expand market access and strengthen the image of Indonesian fashion, accessories, and jewelry products in Japan.A total of 16 Indonesian brands participated in the event through the Indonesian Pavilion, showcasing accessories, jewelry, and clothing.Meanwhile, Suryo emphasized the need for more focused and sustainable promotion and highlighted the readiness of Indonesian trade representatives abroad to connect businesses from both countries.”Through the integrated Pop-Up Store promotion, we introduce quality Indonesian products by emphasizing storytelling and emotional connections with Japanese consumers.
