Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto announced that state-owned enterprise (SOE) dividend payouts rose 67 percent in 2025 to Rp142.3 trillion (approximately US$7.98 billion), up from Rp85.5 trillion (US$4.79 billion) recorded in 2024.Speaking at the 2026 Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) on Friday, President Prabowo attributed the financial surge to governance reforms and corrected profit reporting across state firms.”SOE dividends paid in 2025 reached Rp142.3 trillion, a 67 percent increase from 2024,” President Prabowo said at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta. The Head of State explained that total SOE earnings surged 75.3 percent year-on-year, reaching Rp326 trillion (US$18.29 billion) in 2025, compared to a corrected figure of Rp186 trillion (US$10.43 billion) in 2024.He highlighted that the net fiscal contribution—dividends minus state capital investment provided via the State Budget—rose 160 percent from Rp53 trillion (US$2.97 billion) in 2024 to Rp138 trillion (US$7.74 billion) in 2025.This surge was backed by broad financial growth across state enterprise metrics. Total net profits for SOEs saw a sharp increase of 75.3 percent, climbing from a corrected Rp186 trillion (US$10.43 billion) in 2024 to Rp326 trillion (US$18.29 billion) in 2025.Driven by these record earnings, gross dividend payouts to the state treasury expanded significantly. Dividends grew by 67 percent year-over-year, rising from Rp85.5 trillion (US$4.79 billion) in 2024 to Rp142.3 trillion (US$7.98 billion) in 2025.Looking ahead, President Prabowo projected state corporate dividend contributions to reach Rp200 trillion (US$11.22 billion) in 2026 without requiring further state capital injections. He noted that the earnings growth would directly support state economic priorities, including industrial downstreaming acceleration.”SOE profits are now being used to accelerate our downstreaming efforts,” the President added.During the address, President Prabowo expressed appreciation for the state asset management agency Danantara, proposing that leadership receive honorary medals on Independence Day for their role in improving SOE performance. The joint parliamentary session forms part of state activities commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence, held under the national theme “Indonesia is Sovereign, Just and Prosperous.”
